Greenspace
Project
Get involved with the Surrey
Greenspace Project team and help make your community in Merstham one of
the most hands-on, green-fingered and proud communities in Surrey!
Whether it’s community allotments, wildlife gardening, practical
conservation skills, path-building, schools environment clubs or an
interest in being active and meeting new people, we have the programme
for you!
Help us turn Furzefield Wood & Radstock Way
Open Space into a wildlife haven with better access for everybody ready
for nature trails, guided walks and outdoor community events. Learn new
skills through our environment workshops, meet and work alongside new
and existing environmental groups to help teach and support each other.
Work together to help enhance Spynes Mere and The Moors wetland
reserves, where you can see an abundance of waterfowl including Sand
Martins and Kingfishers. Improve your construction skills by
volunteering on path-building tasks to make Merstham Bund North & South
an idyllic countryside walk for all.
If you have any ideas about how your greenspace could be improved to
benefit both wildlife and the local community, or want to set up some
environmental children’s activities and fun family nature events, let us
know and get stuck in!
