The End of an Era
After serving the community for 80 years
Merstham's last family butcher's shop has closed.
Christmas Eve 2003 saw the end of over nearly
200 years of the butcher's trade in the village.
Having once boasted five butcher's shops, many villagers
were saddened at Merstham losing yet another
'traditional' trade.
