The London to Brighton Bike Ride: 18th June 2000
The London to Brighton Bike Ride is an annual charity event starting from
London's Clapham Common and finishing on the sea front in Brighton.
It occurs on a Sunday in June with some competitors passing through Merstham as early as 7:30am.
Entering at Gatton Bottom, then over the M25 along the A23,
down School Hill, the cyclists finally leave Merstham via Nutfield Road,
with still over half of the journey ahead of them.
